Frequently Asked Questions about PbyP

What is the Personalisation by Pieces Framework?

The ‘framework’ refers to the core theory behind PbyP.  As with all frameworks it must be flexible enough yet structured enough to provide clear progression routes for learners without restricting their creativity.

As time goes on the framework will be ‘populated’ by students work that can inspire others and courses and resources that have been written by users and publishers.

At its lauch, the framework consisted of the book ‘The Personalisation by Pieces Framework’, two sets of ladders and initial resources for getting started.  Some schools were happy to press on and be pioneers with the very little guidance that this basic lauch offered.  After six months, there was much more in the framework and the next wave of schools and colleges felt confident to switch on and get started.

As it is a framework, more and more resources can be added by all of the users and the learning institutions which will make it progressively easier for new learning institutions and individuals to get started.
